Sunday Scrambles - after a freeze last night, and temps down to 23 this morning, it turned out to be an excellent day for disc golf at Lake Shore Park. Larry J & Mark V managed to outdistance the rest of the field, while Kevin S got the 10 disc dollars for the CTP. Here's nice putt that Mark pulled out for a birdie on hole 6 - about 45 feet:

Scrambles today were truly "Shooting the Breeze" - When we started, pretty much a constant 20 - 30 mph gale force coming off the lake - making that part of the course very treacherous... Mark V & Mike M were making a strong showing - with everyone playing from the blues, there wouldn't be a whole lot of birdies today, but they got one on hole 1. John V & Tom E kept pace, and managed to tie it up with just one hole to play. As it turned out, they finished tied - so it came down to the "CTP" to determine the winner - Tom E's shot from 14 red turned out to be only INCHES closer than Mark V's... breaking the tie, and Tom also took the ten disc dollars for the CTP.

Random draw scrambles saw a light turnout, probably because of the scary looking radar! It started out a little "misty", but turned out to be a beautiful day... Larry J and Mark V shot well enough to take the honors of the day. CTP contest was taken by Kevin Smith. Come on out and join us!

The first night of Thursday scrambles saw Mike Mote and Larry Jennings win by three strokes. A key part of that victory was this 130 foot shot by Mike:
The "FIB" - First in Basket contest was won by Bob Klingler - taking home 10 disc dollars. Come out and join the fun! Click HERE for a link to the flyer for Thursday nights!
