Purpose

Promote more participation in NEO PDGA sanctioned events.
Help pull all NEO players together in a common competitive opportunity.
To offer the NEO Association a direct programming benefit to all members.

Club Qualifications

Must be a NEO Association Club/course. Charter clubs: Ashtabula, Canton/Massillon, (East Liverpool), Euclid, Hudson/Suffield, Medina, Norwalk, Warren, Wooster.
Must host a PDGA sanctioned event.
Must agree to NEO Series requirements, collect fees, and forward results and fees to NEO Series Director.

Point Format

Points will be awarded as follows:
1. One point per event played plus one point for each player beaten or tied in their respective division.
2. The NEO Championship event will count double points.
3. The fee for the Series or each individual event must be paid prior to the start of the round. Past unpaid rounds will not be counted.
This Series will be run for each calendar year starting January 1st and finishing on December 31^st of each year.
A NEO Series Champion will be determined for each Division. Divisions will be the same as PDGA divisions.
The player’s NEO Series ranking will be determined by the player’s total number of points earned in his/her respective division in all of the participating NEO Series events
The tie breaker for first through fifth place, if needed will be the players’ finish in the NEO Series Championship event. If that is a tie, it will be determined by the hole-by-hole score, starting on hole 1, Round 1 of the NEO Series Championship event.
If a player competes in a division outside his/her PDGA division, they may still accumulate NEO Series points based on their ranking among players in that event from their division.
Players will be disqualified if they are disqualified from the PDGA for failing to comply with the PDGA by laws.
Bag tags will be provided for all participants and will be turned in at the beginning of each tournament and redistributed at the end of the event among players according to their respective division based upon their order of finish in their division.

NEO Series Fees (2007 Fess)

Participation is optional for all players. NEO Series fees will only be required for those who wish to participate and only for the events they wish to have counted. NEO Series entry fees must be paid in full prior the start of play at each respective event.

Option 1: Pay a lump sum of $10. This must be paid in full prior to the start of the first round of the first event that the player registers for the NEO Series.

Option 2: Pay as you play the amount of $2 for each event they want to count toward the NEO Series Competition.

No fees will be refunded for any reason.

Payout and Prizes

The purpose of the NEO Series is to promote and expand play, not to compensate the very top group of players. Payout for all divisions shall be in awards (trophies, plaques, etc.) and non-monetary prizes. Awards will be presented to the top third of the participating players. Prizes will be awarded to all participants completing 50% of the events.

The year end payout shall be determined by the NEO Series Director. The awards ceremony for the NEO Series will take place at the awards ceremony at the NEO Series Championship event. If a player is not present to receive their award or prize, it will be their responsibility to make arrangements with the Series Director to collect it. Prizes will not be mailed or shipped.

NEO Series Committee

The NEO Disc Golf Tournament Series will be run by the NEO Series Director (Michael Mote) who was elected by the NEO Disc Golf Counsel.

The NEO Series Director shall receive, record and publish all scores at each event and on-line if practical. The Director shall receive all entries (including names, divisions, and scores of ach player) from each respective tournament TD. The NEO Disc Golf Counsel Secretary/Treasurer will account for and manage all NEO Series monies during the course of the year. The Director will be granted a one year free NEO Series entry fee for performance of his duties.

The Secretary/Treasurer shall submit an account of all expenses and payouts to the end of the year to the NEO Disc Golf Counsel.
